Student Mobility Program, CINDA

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile offers eight places for one semester each available every year for applicants of the CINDA group universities. Students may begin their program in the first or second semester. To apply to this program, please contact cinda@pucp.edu.pe or visit the following website www.cinda.cl. Applications in the following areas will be given priority:


  • Construction Engineering
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry

Characteristics of the scholarship


  • The application process is once a year for both semesters. Deadline to apply and send all the application documents is October 30th of previous year.
  • Applications are by institution. The student must be pre-selected by his or her home university. The final decision will be made upon evaluation of the student’s academic background.
  • Each university may nominate one applicant each year, whose performance must be in the top 20% of his or her class.
  • There are eight places for one semester each available every year for applicants of the CINDA group universities.
  • The scholarship only covers the cost of tuition for one semester.
  • The student is responsible for his/her own travel costs and daily expenses.

Restrictions

The following faculties have limited access for exchange students:

1) Music: Only theory courses.

2) Medicine:  Only certain theoretical courses in public health and clinical rotations. Odontology, Nutrition and Dietetics and Kinesiology are not available to apply.

3) Economics and Administrative Sciences: Courses restricted to applicants
    who fulfill the requirements of each course.

4) Psychology Courses: Students in their second to fourth year in the major may apply.

5) Biological Sciences: Marine Biology courses are restricted.

6) Art Courses: Art courses are available just to art major applicants.
 
7) Achitecture: applicants must send a 2 pages PDF portfolio (letter size). Students can apply only to: Taller de proyectos  (Formación 1st-3rd year / Ejercitación 4th y 5th year) Core courses (no restriction) and optative courses  (2 as maximum).  Student cannot apply to: Aulas de Título (career final project),Taller de Investigación(reasearch workshop), Práctica de Obras y Práctica Profesional (professional practice).
 
8) Communication: Publicity is not available to apply.
 
9) Sports Courses: Students must bring their personal equipment
    to class, according to the sport of interest.
